Systematic monitoring of associative invasions in cattle and the improvement of diagnostic methods as well as treatment and preventive measures are among the most important areas of veterinary medicine and epizootological safety. Associative invasions are characterized by the simultaneous parasitism of several species of endo- and ectoparasites, causing complex pathological changes in the animal organism, which leads to deterioration of the general physiological condition, reduced productivity, and decreased reproductive capacity.
This study was conducted under the conditions of LLP “Peasant Farm ‘Novaya Zarya’” and aimed to determine the prevalence of associative invasions among cattle, evaluate the effectiveness of diagnostic methods used, and develop optimal schemes for antiparasitic treatment and preventive measures. During the research, coprological methods, clinical and epizootological examinations, as well as the biological efficacy of various antiparasitic drugs were assessed. The obtained results allow for the development of practical recommendations of high value for veterinary specialists and farmers and provide a basis for the prevention of parasitic diseases and the improvement of the economic efficiency of livestock production. Associative invasions, characterized by the simultaneous presence of several parasitic agents in the animal body, aggravate clinical signs, reduce productivity, and lead to increased economic losses.
